Frank Reich’s first start in the NFL. He leads the Buffalo Bills from behind twice in the 4th quarter to beat the undefeated Los Angeles Rams 23-20.
The best football team ever, hands down

Wow. Look at the top of the screen on the winning TD. No one is covering Reed.

So great of you to post these! I have been watching these videos of yours for the past two days. Dick Jauron should make the entire Bills organization watch these and say” Look what we used to be – We have the best fans in the world!” Man, do I miss those days!

Yes, Frank Gifford did. Not the first MNF mistake on a Bills game. Anybody remember Cosell’s “Reggie McKeever”? Reggie McKenzie had only been in the NFL 10 years then.

My mom let me stay up late to watch this game, but I fell asleep on the couch. She woke me up with her cheering when the Bills scored to win. I missed it.

I thought Frank was better than Al technically as far as actual play by play but Michaels had the charisma and personality that Frank didn’t really have.

I think this is one of the last times Frank Gifford did play by play, maybe THE last…this was right around the time of the World Series/San Francisco earthquake, so Al Michaels was covering that.
